Those Garagista wines sound intriguing in the best way, especially since I have never had a wine from Brianna. As for the Ports, 20 year old Tawny Port is a sweet spot for Laura and me. We’re typically Taylor and Fonseca drinkers, but the Graham’s shows up once in a while. I need to find a bottle of the Dow, as it’s a house I love for vintage Port.
La Garagista makes an astonishing array of wines given their tiny facility and total production volume. I do encourage you to seek out their sparkling wines (and ciders) especially. I have a few more that I purchased at the winery last week and will be sharing notes on those later.
I do encourage you to seek out the Dow's. If I had to choose between these two, it would be my pick.
I'd love to taste those La Garagista wines. Alas I have never seen them in Italy. Lovely Tawny port reporting.
Tawny port is often sadly overlooked. It's so delicious.
If I see it on a menu, I'm ordering it. Pretty rare in Italy, sadly. I don't always want a passito.
