The vast majority of wine and food I write about here is purchased with my own funds. I list the price I paid unless it's significantly different from the average price a reader would expect to pay.
I do accept for review samples of wine and wine-related paraphernalia, food and pantry items, kitchen equipment, books, and other goods intended for the pleasures of the table. I will always disclose when an item was received as a gift or free sample.
I make every effort to review samples in a timely fashion, though I prefer to let wine samples settle for at least two weeks after shipping. I cannot guarantee that I will write about all samples I receive. I publish both positive and constructive remarks.
