Bonny Doon Vineyard
Le Cigare Blanc
2004
Current price: about $22 (2007 vintage)
Brilliant yellow-gold, clear like March sun. It smells to me like the beach, salty and sweet, dulcet. As it warms, it gives off aromas of apple blossom, almond, honeysuckle, spring. On the palate it's honeyed and a little nutty; silky, but bright and cleansing, too, with pear and pippin apples and flowers.
This bottle was a gift from the winemaker. Lucky me.

I'd relish a glass of sandy shores, sunshine and flowers, right about now...What a delightful gift!
